What you need and what may/will work is irrelevant if you can't get it to work with what you've done so far... So, if I needed a VM to have access to two different Host Subnets then I'd set two Bridged NICs in the Virtual Network Editor bound to each target Host NIC and have two Bridged NICs in the VM and customize the second one manually in the .vmx file just as I've suggested!
