RAID 1 - definitely not. A sort-of RAID 0 can be done (datastore with extents), but nothing more. Use a hardware RAID controller for that.

Meglio ancora usa un NAS che ti togli qualunque problema e dipendenza.

Puoi partire da una distribuzione Linux e usare il comando dd.
dd if=/dev/sorgente if=/dev/destinazione bs=1M
Il block size si potrebbe anche aumentare per usare un po' più memoria come cache.

C'è qualcosa che non quadra nella tua installazione.
Sysprep deve andare da Windows, o almeno partire. Se non funziona, c'è poco da fare in VMware.
Prova a riapplicare il service pack (mi pare che includa un nuovo binario del sysprep).

Non ho parlato di client fuori lan, ma di client fisici che accedono velocemente alla lan collegati direttamente sugli switch, mantre i client virtuali view colegati trsamite virtual switch dei nodi accedono con latenze paurose.

Hai già provato abilitando i Jumbo frame su tutta la parte NFS?
Occhio che non potendo decidere quale scheda vmkernel usare per il traffico NFS, l'ideale è usare una rete logica diversa, così sei sicuro di quale interfaccia sarà usata.

Конечно можно, в этом весь смысл кластера. Но для этого физический свитч, куда подключены физические интерфейсы от хостов, тоже должен поддерживать эти же номера VLAN на соответствующих портах (на свитче порты должны быть помечены как Tagged).

Accedono a cosa? Come misuri la latenza?
E' il desktop virtuale lento ad accedere (hai provato dalla sua console a verificare) o è lento l'accesso da un client a quel desktop?

AFTER I P2V the server I can boot the NEW virtual in to Safe Mode and it stays up. I can log in locally, but of course can't do too much due to it being in safe mode. I'm doing a standard P2V
